Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ChickenJockey ("Service"), operated by Munero Limited, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChickenJockey provides game server hosting services for various games including Minecraft, Valheim, Terraria, ARK: Survival Evolved, 7 Days to Die, and Rust. The Service includes server provisioning, management tools, file storage, and related features.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Host or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Conduct DDoS attacks or other network abuse
  • Host pirated or illegally obtained content
  • Engage in cryptocurrency mining without explicit permission
  • Store or distribute illegal content (including CSAM)
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • Prices are displayed in GBP and include applicable taxes
  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

5.2 Free Trials

Free trials, when offered, provide full access to the Service for the specified period. Your card will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.

5.3 Refunds

We offer a 7-day refund policy for new subscriptions. After 7 days, refunds are provided at our discretion. Refunds are not available for accounts terminated due to Terms violations.

6. Service Level

  • We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control
  • Server resources are allocated based on your subscription plan

7. User Content

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (worlds, configurations, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a license to store, transmit, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

7.2 Shared Content

Content shared to the public Content Library must be content you have the right to share. We reserve the right to remove shared content that violates these terms or receives valid complaints.

7.3 Backups

While we provide backup functionality, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data. We are not liable for data loss.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by Munero Limited. Game names, logos, and assets belong to their respective owners (Mojang/Microsoft, Iron Gate, Re-Logic, etc.). We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher.

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your servers will remain accessible until the end of your billing period.

9.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. For other reasons, we will provide reasonable notice when possible. Upon termination, your server data will be retained for 30 days before deletion.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MUNERO LIMITED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Munero Limited from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws require otherwise.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
